Alberni Aquarium
Covid-19 Safety:
All guests must wear a mask and use hand sanitizer at the main entrance upon arrival.
A limited number of guests will be welcomed at a time in order to maintain physical distancing.
The Aquarium will have one-way arrows for guests to follow with interpreter stations along the way.
Touch tanks will be covered for animal care purposes as soap and disinfectants are harmful to the health of our critters.
We ask that visitors be very careful not to touch any tanks or acrylic surfaces. Alcohol based hand sanitizers can damage acrylic tank surfaces, which is very costly and time consuming to fix.
We love kids and love their amazing energy! The aquarium can be a very exciting place and we love that our younger guests come for visits! We ask that parents accompany their kiddos to ensure physical distancing is respected amongst other visitors, as well as try to minimize hands-on exploring as much as possible.
We ask that guests exit the aquarium via back door exit to ensure social distancing measures.
Instead of crafts at the aquarium, guests can request a craft package from interpreters to take home instead.
Public washrooms are available in spirit square rather than in the aquarium to ensure safety for staff.
