RBC Blue Water Project

The goal of this project is to determine and eventually reduce the amount of inputs entering the Alberni Inlet. This project will comprise the following:

1. Water Quality testing - training will take place on August 4th, 2016.

2. Storm Drain Assessment - impact of storm drains on the inlet to be assessed, along with the creation of rain gardens in strategic spots and a storm drain marking program.

3. Business and Industry Environmental Stewardship Program - businesses and industries that participate in this program will receive recognition as "Blue Water Certified".

4. Green Boating - information on how to become a more environmentally conscious boater
